The majority of the pulse current injection (PCI) tests on electrical point of entry protections of critical infrastructure refers to MIL-STD -188-125-1 & 2 specifications. But other pulse shapes and current levels are requested from time to time by test labs or manufacturers of protection devices. These requirements may be based on IEC or national standard.
