OUTDOOR BOUNDED WAVE (BW) NEMP TEST SYSTEMS

Montena designs and manufactures bounded wave systems capable of conducting high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) / nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NEMP) survivability demonstration tests on large systems, according to MIL STD 464C, MIL 188-125-2 or IEC 61000-5-25.

The high voltage pulse generator connected to the triangular transmission line generates the vertically polarized bounded wave electromagnetic pulse at an intensity of up to 50kV/m in the test volume. Various field sensors are used to verify the electric and magnetic field strengths in the test area.

Fixed simulators for outdoor installation have been developed and marketed for more than 20 years.

Montena proposes as well a range of smaller transportable NEMP simulators for indoor or temporary outdoor installation, for the test of subsystems and equipment according to the MIL-STD-461 RS105.
