Fibre-optic links (RF over fiber)

Montena manufactures a range of broadband fibre-optic links for analogue signal transmission/ measurement from DC up to 3.5 GHz.

The very compact design, the capability to operate over long distance and in harsh electromagnetic environment make the MOL series particularly useful for situations where the measurement device (e.g. oscilloscope) cannot be placed close to the measurement point. It is also suitable for measurements where isolation is needed, in particular high voltage applications, power electronics ..etc.

The MOL series is available in version point-to-point and multilink with up to 10 receivers per chassis. In the point-to-point versions, both the transmitter and the receiver modules are battery-powered and are shielded against strong electromagnetic fields. In the multilink versions the plug-in receivers have no battery, they are powered and controlled directly thru the chassis. Different models of MOL can be mixed in one chassis.

MOL25T

Analog front-end over fibre for oscilloscope, specially designed for:

  • Remote measurements in harsh environments (high voltage, electromagnetic, contaminated atmosphere ..etc) or hardly accessible areas
  • Monitoring of signals of EUT's during EMC tests, measurement of fast transients on high-voltage floating potentials ..etc.
  • DC - 25 MHz, 2 × 1 MΩ BNC inputs, expandable to 20 channels per chassis

MOL500T

  • High impedance measurements with high bandwidth (DC - 500 MHz)
  • Remote measurements in harsh environments (high voltage, electromagnetic, contaminated atmosphere ..etc) or hardly accessible areas
  • Measurement of fast transients on high-voltage floating potentials
  • Measurements on fast-power semiconductors (SiC, GaN, …)

MOL2000T

  • Ultra-wide 80 Hz – 3.5 GHz bandwidth ensures an accurate transmission of fast-risetime and long pulse duration signals
  • >40 hours autonomy on batteries (standby >10 days)
  • Remote controlled features (gain, standby) for higher flexibility
  • High immunity to electromagnetic fields.

MOL3000

  • Simple operation (no configurable settings), 0 dB gain
  • 80 Hz – 3.5 GHz, high immunity to electromagnetic fields.
